As a lawyer-linguist, I help people out with both legal and language matters, serious things. As a translator and language and cultural expert in Colombia I help people out with tourism, fun things. Over the years I’ve been noticing an interesting pattern in the assistance I provide to people. Whether it be legal matters, translation issues or tourism, people often share their Colombia dating and relationship experiences with me or are interested in those topics whenever we’re taking a break from the more serious work. Often times when meeting expatriates and tourists in informal settings in Colombia, dating and relationship experiences in Colombia are one of the first topics of conversation. It turns out that people find it very helpful and insightful to hear a different perspective or second opinion, if you will, on relationship experiences in Colombia from someone with thorough cultural knowledge as well as vast professional experience and personal dating and relationship experience in Colombia. The knowledge and experience come from personal life as well as professional life as a translator and as a lawyer among cultures.
